Departing from what we had done, the very popular movie characters, to working on a portrait of a reallife artist,itwas as f JND Studios was
starting over from scratch. JND artists are not merely trying to imitate life. They are trying to capture and express the character.
The final output came from the decision to try to paint a picture of its own. The person is not the only subject matter. Cox the main artist,combined different objects and pieced the puzzles together so that the collector could view a single piece of art
In orderto capure the character, Gox focused on Jean- Michels faclal expression. He wanted a hint of dsappointment on his face, maginingwhat he must have felt when he was trying to become a star by selling postcards, and things werent going his way.
